试题重现:
Visiting museum is the best way to learn about a foreign country.
波波点睛:
题目大意:参观博物馆是了解外国最好的方式。很明显是一个绝对词的题目,波波建议使用承认合理性,反驳绝对性的结构来写。
参考范文
At present, with the advances in technology, the approach to obtaining information, whether domestic or abroad, has been diversified to a large extent. Consequently, a debate pertaining whether the best way to learn about a foreign country is to visit museum is under way. From my perspective, the above claim is a piece of overstatement, with the following reasons.
Indeed, there are certain advantages of knowing about a foreign country by paying a visit to museum. To illustrate, museum, a symbol of traditional culture and history in a country, can present a vivid and live picture of what the life of ancient people in a country was like. However, to consider visiting museum to be the most effective way to learn a country is an exaggerated claim, because there are other ways which are better than it.
Firstly, people can know a foreign country better by travelling abroad. Obviously, the first-hand information gained during the tour in foreign countries can give us a more direct understanding of the nations. To illustrate, in the process of travelling, you will encounter native people, communicate with them and even have the chance to participate in festival celebration. All the above things can be experience by you in person, which will definitely make you know more about the country. Take my tour to Australia as an example. Before arriving there, I learned from the museum that Australians were descendants from Britain so that the language they used must be standard British Accent. However, during the journey, what I heard had such a great difference with the British Accent that sometimes I had to ask people to repeat what they said. Hadn't I even been to Australia by myself, I had never recognized such a distinction.
Secondly, logging onto the internet can do a better job in informing people of what happened in other countries. As is common sense, due to the fast speed of transmitting information by means of internet, people can be immediately accessible to what they want to know about a country including splendorous history and the latest events and news. To be more specific, with the aid of internet, what you need to do in the process of acquiring the information is type the key words into the search engine and then click the mouse. Subsequently, all the information you need will appear on the screen at once. In this way, not only can you save lots of time but also you can get a more comprehensive picture of a certain country. A good case in point is the extensive coverage of 2016 American Election on the websites. Wherever you are, as long as you have internet access, you will be well informed of every update about the big event, which cannot be obtained by visiting museums.
All in all, it is safe to conclude that despite its plausible merit visiting museum cannot be regarded as the best way to learn about a foreign country, because other ways such as travelling abroad and surfing the internet are much more feasible.
